Default Stolen Yamaha YZF600R 4/13/05 FREMONT, CA

Sometime last night between midnight and 8am, my Yamaha YZF600R that I posted up for sale was stolen from my apartment complex in Fremont, CA. It was chained up to a post in the parking garage. If anyone has information, please let me know so we can catch these sum bags. My roomates 2004 Gixxer was stolen in October from the same place too. DAYUm!!!!!

This is my bike:

I guess, if it turns up for sale you will know it's your's with all those miles. That still sucks though.

Did you show the bike to anyone shady?

I showed the bike to a few people, but there was this REALLY weird time when a guy I talked to on the phone by the name AJ was gonna meet me up at my place to see the bike. And when I was outside waiting, this OTHER guy rolled up and saw me with my bike outside so I thought it was the guy i spoke with on the phone AJ, so i said "hey, AJ .. was it hard to find this place?" But he looked confused and said what? How'd you know my name? This made me confused, I said "hey, didn't we just talk on the phone?" He replied, NO! I was just driving and saw your bike and just wondered if you were selling it. So i thought to myself? WTF? his name is AJ too? WTF? Just then, the guy AJ I talked to on the phone rode his bike by and said, hey!!! You the guy w/ the bike? So I said yeah!. And apparently there were 2 guys by the name of AJ standing there checkin my bike out!

So the dude AJ I spoke w/ on the phone took my bike for a spin and said he'll buy it, and for me to go to the bank with him. Just as we were about to leave to the bank, the other AJ (random guy off the street) said I'll give you a hundred bucks more. So the original AJ (guy I talked w/ on phone) said, ok fine it's yours then. So i ended up not going to the bank. ***That dude just jipped me out of a closed done deal right there*** This guy AJ (off the street) said alright call me at 5pm and I'll bring the $ by. After that, he left and I waited till 5pm and the *** calls and says, no...I don't have enough $ and trys to lowball me now. I got pissed and said NO to his rediculous offers and hung up on him.

Yup, so basically this was very strange 'cause the two guys seemed like opposites, like they wouldn't know eachother by any means. But oh well...

So that's my story....

Now THAT ******* sucks.

You don't need full coverage...only comprehensive. No good reason not to have it.

unless it adds $1,000-1,500 to your premium with a $500 deductible and if the bike is only worth 2-3 grand.

I feel bad for you. I know what you're going through. I got my car stolen last week, but that guy does sound suspicious. If you really want to find out where your bike is just either let him come and then say you just barely sold your bike and maybe get his plates and see whats up?

Wow, what does that have to do with anything? Is Alfee your long lost cousin?

Dude,

That sucks. Hopefully you have the phone numbers to both AJ's that called you. If not, get a copy of your phone records and try to isolate which numbers. Maybe the phone company can provide inbound calling numbers assuming they didnt call block it.

Don't give up hope. My buddy had his zx12r stolen. About 1 yr after he gets a call from a towing/impound lot. It appears the theives took it to a body shop after wrecking/stealing the upper fairing/gauges/headlight etc. They had hammered the lock with a screwdriver then cut the ignition wires to try and hotwire it..... Minus a few hundred dollars in parts he got his bike back.

I know it is rare, but you may recover your stuff too.

Good luck

Steven
