Sold my SV today.
Sold this afternoon to a guy in Rockville, MD.
I almost bailed on the sale and took it back. It looked so sad to see me go.
Such a cute little guy, and so easy to own! I'll have to buy another one some day. Or buy this one back when I can afford it.
I keep expecting to look out my window and see that it followed me home. It's amazing how you can miss a basically worthless hunk of metal.

Wasn't really a loss, lol. I did receive some money in return.

Opportunity knocking.
This sale put some much-needed money in my pocket.

Did ya sell it for more than ya bought it for? Its only been a few months for me and my sv650s but ive been gettin some offers...some like 1000 over what i paid (granted ive put about 600 in some parts for it). Kind of tempting.....

Not more, but close. I paid $4999 before assembly, freight etc etc. Sold for $4600.
You might want to think about some of those offers, btw. Although I'm already scheming about how to get another SV...man my back hurts.

You aren't capable of buyers' remorse if you're stepping up from a baby Kwak.

Re: (usdmPC3)
How could you do that...now the poor bike will be ragged out and stunted, no more comfy garage, sleeping outside in the cold and rain. New owner will let all his friends ride him and rag him out. No more oil changes and bike maintenance. Poor bike is really gonna miss ya...
I know how you feel, I just sold my gixxer. I was looking to buy a new bike this weekend, until my wife gave me my 'weekend to do list' and there is no time for bike shopping in there...Now I will have to wait another weekend before I get the new bike. If I would have known sooner, I would have waited on the sale. Now I am just staring at the big empty space in my garage.

I suppose that's true. I really missed my scooter when I sold it, and felt that I was getting into something way over my head. Ditto for today...

Actually, the new owner has a garage (I do not) and is an older rider, so he will probably treat him just as well as I did.

Funny you should say that, of all people...

I'm more of a 'the glass is half full' type of guy. Hopefully, after you allocate your funds accordingly, you'll have enough left for a down payment or maybe even enough to buy an inexpensive used bike.
I know you loved your SV, but I have a feeling that you wanted a bit more. Hopefully this decision will lead to bigger and better things. We'll still see you in here right?

You hit the nail on the head. The deal for the SV put $4600 in my pocket. $3.4K of that went toward this.
