I believe for the 91-98 F2/F3's they recomend SAE 10W-40. Synthetic is up to you. $5 a QT vs $10 a QT for "motorcycle oil" or you can just run Mobil 1.

I'd go one more oil change on conventional before going synthetic. Try ronayers.com and get a gallon of the regular honda 10w40. I just filled up the 500 w/ that. Good stuff. Also when going synthetic, watch out for friction modifiers as they're popular in weights up to 10w40 and will affect your clutch. I use 15-50 mobil 1 and its great, no friction additives in that weight.

i use honda HP4 in my kawasaki... that's what the previous owner used and has never had any problems, 12k mi. half dino half synth, clutch is a-ok.

Pro-Honda HP4 10W40

With years of testing and development behind it, Pro-Honda HP4 stands as the definition of excellence for 4-stroke motorcycle oils. HP4 blends the heat-stability and shear-resistance of synthetic oil with the lubricity of mineral oil to get the best of both worlds.

Don't listen to anyone here.

Mobil1 15W50. It's the one with the red cap. It doesn't have a friction modifier in it so it won't make your clutch slip. Don't waste money on moto specific oils, it's all hype and does nothing special.

Have a nice day.

I pay $15 for a 5 quart jug at walmart. Regular price is under $20. Run, don't walk... the riding season is upon us

Before I was able to read you responses I went to a bike shop and bought some stuff they recommended.. $25 for 4 quarts, synthetic.. I'll get the mobil 1 next time.

Tonight: thunder showers
Tomorrow: buy gloves, boots, and go ride.

I use MOBIL 1 in my 94 F2. Every 2000 miles since day 1. No problems at all. AutoZone sells a motorcycle series. Give it a try!

Sorry to bring this back.. but can I get a couple people to verify that this is the right oil I should be running in my bike?

http://www.hondadirectlineusa....71087

The 10W40. But I don't think that's synthetic..?

Screw it.. maybe I'll just get 15w50 at Walmart.
