Default Road Hazards: Pot Holes

http://www.northjersey.com/news/0425..._Route_17.html

There are a couple of lessons we can all take from this tragic accident.

I'll start:
Don't follow the vehicle in front of you so closely that you do not have time to react or avoid road hazards.

Next?

If you cant avoid it ride through it. Me coming from a motocross/woods background i just ride through it. Dont do anything that will change the bikes movement. if any it should be your body moving. its kind of hard to explain but i have had pretty good luck to the situation.

you have to come to the tri-state area to see the potholes we deal with.

Agreed here, just get up on the pegs a little bit get back a bit to get some weight of the front wheel and try to ride it out.

I've never ridden a bike with forward controls. How would one get off the seat on one of those bikes?

One of the main reasons I have no desire to own a bike like that.

Well, on saturday, because a friggin' lower class bastard in his POS rusted to hell Malibu seemed to be envious towards me, he swerved into me and the Ducati, I avoided him and in doing so, I went through a BIG pothole...bike wobbled all over, ejected me from the seat too...

During the red mist, I tried to follow him and punch out his mirrors...but then, his cage was already so beaten to hell, and he entered a ghetto, so I thought better.

After 3 hours of non-stop riding, I come to my house and find out my front tire has a slash and the rim has a little bend. FML

You guys DON'T know what true potholes are lol. Even those in Jerzzzzey are weak compared to ours.

Shotgun? Make it a RPG!!!

On a happier note, at least the tire hasn't deflated. It looks to be only superficial.

Just put her in the classifieds today...tomorrow the ad will appear.
