Rear Stand Question, xmas gift needs help!
Hey guys, my very nice older brother got me a lockhard phillips rear stand for xmas this year, what a great older brother!!! anyway, its a swingarm lifter since my bike doesn't have spools, now my question is as follows:: How do i put the rear stand on, lifting the swingarm when the bike is on its kickstand at an angle? Mind you, i dont have a centerstand and can't put one on... i put the stand on last nite w/ my gf as one of held the bike and the other popped it up, but id really like to learn how to put it on and take it off myself just in case... any advice?
thanks and merry xmas to all!

Using my left hand, I would pull the bike against my hip to keep the bike upright. Using my free right hand, I push down on the stand so the pads are pressed against the swingarm. I then put enough pressure on the stand so the bike will stay upright while moving to the rear of the bike, and push down to lift the bike up.
But, that's just how I do it.
Great Christmas gift.
Good luck!

I just put the bike in gear while its leaning on the kickstand. Make sure it wont roll foward. With my left hand straighten it upright , with my right hand position the rear stand behind it then jack it up.

no, you are standing next to the rear of the bike.
Here's a vid of how to do it.

For this dude, he needs to call up his nice friend to borrow the rear stand or rubber pads first.
