handy industries makes cheap ones that work. Pitbulls are the best, but also the most expensive and basically do the same thing. Although if you're hunting for a front stand, the pitbulls are great!

If you have spools on the bike, then you'll want a rear stand that has a spool adapter. If you don't have them installed, then you'll want one with rubber pads.
Pitbull makes a rear stand that can switch between the two types (for the rear).

I dunno if I would go that far. Just my opinion though. If it works for you

They're not too expensive to add onto your swingarm (since you've already got holes for the spools), and it'll be a little bit easier to lift the bike up on the stand.

b/c of the gixxer's rear caliper, i'd definitely get spools and a spooled stand. trying to get my friend's k5 up on a LP non-spool stand is a pain in the ***.
spools are cheap and take alot of the uncertainty out of the operation.

Why does it matter if it takes less space?
IMO, if you bought a rear stand to take up less space, you'd want a front stand that did the same. Otherwise, you'll still be sticking out in the front.
