Re: (rainmanEK)
Looks like I am right again!!!
American John Hopkins has reportedly signed a letter of intent with Kawasaki's MotoGP team for 2008. Hopkins had once professed that he wanted to spend his entire career with Suzuki--ala Kevin Schwantz--but that sentiment has seemingly passed
I sure hope this is a good move for Kawasaki! I am sure Randy DP is on his way out and WEST will stay with Hopper!

Sorry for the noob question.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Here for sale in the states.. probably not. Maybe in the UK or someother European country.
You can always put race fairings and paint away on a 600.

If Toseland goes to Honda it will be in Melandri's seat. But as of right now a better prospect for Toseland would be the factory Suzuki. If Melandri's bike gets the new chassis and Melandri starts tearing it up again maybe Toseland could be convinced to take that ride but right now none of the satellite Hondas are doing well.

There's the Aprilia RS250 that was sold here for the RS250 Cup but those were 'racing only' bikes. There are a small number of them here that are street legal but you'll have to search high and low for them. That's pretty much it.

I honestly don't think Toseland will have many options, He may just have to take what he can get!
CE2 is a better WSBK racer then Toseland and look at his stats since he moved to GP!

Trust me, Toseland has options. Tech3, D'Antin, and Gresini have all expressed public interest in him and you can bet that LCR would love to replace Careless Chucka with Toseland. Suzuki is running out of good options right now and if I were them I would give Toseland an offer. Unless of course they wanna go after Spies.

What does that have to do with anything? Chris Vermeulen didn't win a WSBK title and he has 3 podiums, 3 poles, and a win in Moto GP in his sophomore season whereas in Colin's 5th season he only has 2 poles, 6 podiums and no wins. In only 2 seasons Vermeulen already has half as many podiums as Colin and more wins and more poles.
The argument can be made that Vermeulen whooped Toseland's *** in 2005, which he did. But Toseland is a much better rider these days and at the very least is better than anyone else Suzuki could get right now. Maybe Ant West would be worth a go but I don't think he's clearly better than Toseland.

Re: (methos713)
Well it is Official now, Hopkins did sign a Two year Contract with Kawasaki!
On the press release, Kawasaki also noted that they will also have a proven MotoGP winner along side him. So take it for whats its worth but looks like Capirossie may also be on the team?
I also read somewhere that they could also be a three man team next year, So this makes me wonder if WEST will be safe!
I sure would like to see Rog Dog do awesome at Laguna and then maybe in a snow ***** chance in hell he will have a GP ride!
I am sooo Stoked!!

That would be interesting, Though Spies still has one more year left on his Yosh Contract. I am sure someone would be able to pull some strings though if needed!
