Default Noob help...

Hey i was looking at getting this '03 Honda 600RR and the dude said that he had $7300 left on the bike because he financed. He said that he will give me the bike if i take over the payments and i was wondering if that is too much for the bike? I looked online at the kbb value of the bike and it said only like 6200 or so? what do u guys think?
thanks

That's too much. It's his fault if he still has that much in payments left to make.

If you're really interested in an '03 600RR, they can be had for $1000-2000 less.

Way too much, Im guessing this is your first bike...don't let your ego get too big...you might want to start on something a little better for beginners.

I meant, the ballpark for an '03 600RR should generally be between $5200-6200. You'll just need patience.

We get a lot of n00bs in here. Not sure what experience you have, but the safe bet is that you don't have riding experience. I hope I'm wrong.

We'll, I don't have any sport nike riding experience but when I was younger, I used to ride dirt bikes and atvs all the time. Plus I'm taking the msf course at the end of the month.

Are you in the Philly area by any chance? I was looking on the Philly craigslist for a friend, and I saw some idiot asking $7300 for a yellow RR.

Small world huh?

Stay away from that bike...it's only the owner's fault that he still owes more than the value of the bike...he's not going to find any buyers unless he comes down at least $1.5K.

I was looking at one over the winter for $5500...the weather got warmer, and someone else bought it for a few hundred more.

Anything over $6K is too much for an 03, unless the bike is perfect and has mods that you would do anyway. The bike is 4 years old now.
