I have a nail in my rear tire...
So I found out this morning that I have a nail in my rear tire, it's a small nail. My question is is this fixable or should I buy a new tire?

you could but you shouldn't. the ONLY repair I would deem acceptable would be a patch in the inside. It'll throw the balance off so rebalance and I wouldn't do it to a tire seeing any sort of heat cycles

I also agree with the could but shouldn't... however, if the nail is in the middle of the tire and has not damaged the plys to badly, you can do it with a patch if your going to use the tire for normal duty (daily etc)... if your planning on doing ANY performance riding, I would not suggest you repair it... sucks doesn't it. are you sure the nail is actually thru the carcass?

Kool, so it's time for tires. I might as well get both cause I would hate to repair one and not the other.

Yeah I can hear the air coming out of it, lol.
So what should I expect to pay for a pair of tires and what do you guys suggest.
TIA

go to cycle gear and get the Michelin Pilot Powers,,, $140 rear $114 front .. and get MOTOGAURD ... if you get a nail within the 1st quarter tread the tire is replaced for free, and after that it's pro rated.
I went there, and a day after putting them on, i got a nail in the rear. Sure you may be able to find tires cheaper on ebay .. but if i would have bought mine on ebay, i'd be out $140 on a rear.
