Default HT-west trackday

it has to be a weekend trackday, as i won't have a weekday off for a while. looks like we've settled on this date/location:

Sun 08-05 Buttonwillow Zoom Zoom $170 CCW Open track, A/B/C format

sign up here: (note, bike tweakers has the price at $160, zoom zoom says it's $170. use coupon code BARF for a $15 discount and check out "barf" at bayarearidersforum.com. i'm not affiliated with them, but everyone i've met from there is good people.
http://zoomzoomtrackdays.com/t...illow

for people that need transport, we can all carpool or some of you can pitch in for a boxtruck and throw 4 bikes into it, etc. i'm in the san gabriel valley and have room for another bike in my truck. i'm sure we can coordinate if other people need a lift.

list:
1. badmonkey, paid, intermediate
2. marmy (maybe)
3. eh93
4. big pete (maybe)
5. chris yo!, paid, intermediate
6. quiks66

Summer trackdays = HOT

+1 for Buttonwillow. That track has a great mix of fast and slow.

I haven't been to the new Pahrump track yet. But I love stopping at Mad Greek to grub.

Under armor, drink at least a bottle of water or Gatorade between each of you sessions and your fine.

Water wetter for the pig, and she's fine too.

It's still hot, no matter how much water you drink.

Buttonwiller is nice because it has garages with outlets. SoW doesn't (at least, not ones you can use personally).

I'd be down for THill or Infineon. Reno-Fernley is a bit farther, though.

How about one for SoCal, one for NorCal? That way no one is forced to go too far, unless they want to.

i'd love to ride t-hill or sears point, and seca would be beautiful, but i'm not sure i have enough time or $ to travel to LS, th, or SP in a weekend.

and it's hot in rosamond/bw in the summer, but that's what pop ups and ice chests are for

i think BW would make the most sense at this point, and it's a decent track.

Late July or anytime in August would work for me. I'd like to try Thunderhill and Pahrump but Big track would work. http://www.trackdaycentral.com...&y=15

My vote is for 8/4 at BW with Zoom Zoom. It's the only event I can make. But only pencil me in...

If they run BW backwards, count me in. I hate BW because it smells like poo on the way there

recycled air + AC ftw plus, you always know its coming when you see coalinga come up on the big green signs.

you're also lucky because you pass harris ranch on the way to BW. harris ranch is the mfin jam!

Looks like there are 28 places for Advanced, 22 for Inter, and 23 for Novice School.

For the 8/5 event, they are running it backwards. The 8/4 event is the "regular" direction.

The 'poo' smell isn't so bad. Better than purple haze.

i'm ok with running it CCW, though i'd need to relearn the line...and it'll expose my left-handed turning, which is my weakness. like zoolander.
