Yep, I'm in the western burbs of Chicago so I know exactly how this guy feels... a week ago it was 75 and sunny, then WHAM! 30 degrees with 25 mph wind... this suuuuuucks. Tuesday night I had to stand outside for an hour in such weather trying to break into my own car cuz I locked my keys in it. That was fun.

Re: (rainmanEK)
Last week it was mid 70's and sunny, yesterday it was in the 30's with wind gusts over 30mph and snow, this morning it was in the 20's. As a matter of fact the temp here dropped 30 degrees in less than 8 hours on Monday.
Stupid midwest
When I picked up my new jacket last month there was a blizzard, exactly one week later I was riding

its all about wearing the proper riding gear. The one most important thing you need for cold weather riding is a Balaclava. it will keep you neck warm. i wear a leather jacket leather gloves which arent for cold riding so my hands get numb but its not going to kill me. I also wear thermals under my pants and it keeps me pretty warm. to top it off i have a winter helmet from scorpion which ran me $180 if i remember correctly.
