if i go to sell it in the begining of the season next year, how much you think i could get for it
its a 2003 yamaha r1 special edition all black with red ghost flames
only has 2,000 miles on it and will be sold with only a little more, maybe
reason i ask is cuz the 05 all black r1's get my pee pee hard and i want one soooo bad
btw its all stock and will be sold that way

$7500-$8500. If immaculate. Never downed. Etc.etc. Keep it dude. '05 is nice but '03 is nice too. And your's is ******* nice. Just get a pipe put on forchrissakes. Undertail pipes I like traditional side mounts and none of that high mount bullshit. Get some ti or carbon to keep that dark look. Or maybe red carbon. Doesn't TwoBros make something like that?

yeah i probaly wont, ill probaly keep threw this next season, but it will be gone next next season, see my threw my loan, i got like 3.2% finanacing for two years, so ill probaly keep untill my % jumps up, although it will only jump to like 9% then ill get somthing new, either another R1 most likely, maybe even a new gixxer 1000 i dunno

Im with scarey, Why sell you practically new 03 for an 05? I think that is a bad move. If you like the 05 raven so much just respray your side plastics black and get some red rim tape.
It is your money, but thats just my 2 cents.

Re: (01-0720)
am i missing something?? wheres the pipe?
btw - not stock - has flushmounts on it
price? depending on where you live - 8-8500 right at the start of the season - right now - 20-30% less if you live in an area that gets cold this time of year
lastly - nothing really "special edition" about it - they wernt made in limited quantity - in reality the number of black w/ flames 03 r1's is about = to the red and blue ones they made that year as well, so if you think you will get a premium in price because of that - dont... it was a marketing scheme done by yamaha... unlike the champion edition r1's and r6's of 01 - these black/red bikes are not numbered... the champion edition bikes were numbered (including the plastics) and limited in quantity to 1000 total bikes (if i recall) - same thing w/ the telefonica gsxr's

Re: (Mike Panic)
i took the pipe off earlier to see what it sounded like and put it back on after the pics
and i have all the stock lights front and back
and i say special edition because its not the normal red/black, blue/black, and asked a couple different yamaha dealers and they all told me that were ALOT less black/red flames then the normal blue or red, especially the r1's there were a few more of the r6's
but anyway im not sure anymore if im going to sell it anymore, i get ideas on a spur of the moment and try to see if theyl work out, ill probaly keep it until my finance rates jump next year

im not trying to start a fight - trst me - i used to work for a custom bike shop and dealt w/ dealerships (where other friends work) on a day to day basis.
unless your local dealer can provide you with some sort of hard evidance and real numbers then "ALOT less" - you wont get any more $ for the bike unless you find someone who doesnt know and / or just falls in luv w/ it
