Default Exhaust Systems

I am new to the sportbike scene and wondering which type of exhaust to get for my f4i. If any of you could tell me what you like, I would appreciate it. Also some sites who sell exhausts systems would be great. I have looked on some sites but it seems like there are so many systems to choose from. Someone please fill me in. Thanks

Well for an F4i there is quite a bit to choose from. First decide what you are looking to do. Do you want an exhaust for the "look and sound" (which is fine if you do) or are you looking for a nice power gain. For the first a simple slip-on will do the trick. If power is what you are after, look into a jet kit, replacement filter and an air/fuel controller and some tuning for maxium gains, especially on a FI bike such as yours. IMHO I am a huge fan of Akrapovic exhaust for overall build quality, (top notch), backround and sound. They are not as loud as some to meet AMA noise standards which I like. Their slip-on runs for around $475-525 depending on what material you would like. There full exhaust runs from $950-1,150. They also have a full race exhaust for around $1,400. Gains are pretty good, material top notch, cuts down weight over the old exhaust by 60%ish. Erion Racing makes an excellent quality slip-on for the bike in a black aluminum (which looks great on the red/black) as well as Ti. Moderetly priced. If you are looking for a little extra style as well, TwoBrothersRacing makes a High-Mount slip-on in the $4XX dollar range with three mufflers to choose from that looks pretty good on the F4i. There is a myrid of parts it seems for that bike as well as exhaust to choose from so read up. Good luck man.
