Dropped bike - how much do you fix?
Welp, as it happens to every rider, I went down. Stupid mistake at low speeds. Basically just tipped the thing over on it's side. It's the first time I've done it on this one, but not the first time I've ever done it.
When this happens (if it ever happens to you) how much do you bother to fix? I straightened the bars and the brake lever out. I've got some touch up paint on order to "fix" the plastics, but the brake lever probably needs to be replaced. The bar end weight, and the right side crank are scratched, but not too bad.

for me... it depends on the bike.
If it's a daily beater or trackable bike,I don't fix or fix myself because new parts can add up very quickly.
If it's something I am proud of, I only buy new OEM/Race parts, if available, and try and be a little more careful next time.
be nice to see pictures of the damage.

I have a gf that has dropped everything from a near perfect 15y/o bike and a 7 day old painted bike
If you are a new rider, your prob gonna do it again, get it back to SAFE and functioning. Ride it the rest of the season, fall/winter/crappier weather get it back to as right as you can or take as an opprotunity to customize to your liking

That p00ntang must be really good Mschu. That is why.
I have a PCX150 that has been knocked over twice now, once on each side. It's just my beater, so I am only replacing the brake levers. It could use new bodywork, but you can't really see the damage (it's black) and the cost is not worth it for a beater, so I am going to let that ride.

Ah, well if the bikes are hers then she can do what she want with them, of course.
You could have left the first sentence out of your first post out, and you wouldn't have opened yourself up to comment about your gf.
