Default can i get a review on a "Shift" jacket?

anyone ever own one? I know its no Joe rocket or Astars but for the next 2 months or so ill be on a budget but i do need a new jacket. My last jacket was a white/grey/black Speed Master and i loved it! I would buy another but its a little outside my range at the moment. I found a "Shift Super Street Jacket" for $200 but I don't want something that will fall apart. any suggestions as to buying a decent jacket or will the shift be ok?
And for the last question, if i did buy it what color should i get? I rade a 03' 919

These 3 are $200

This jacket is a little different and its $120

Let me know what you think...

my friend ordered a 2-piece in that style from them and the jacket was so inredibly short there's no way he could have worn it without the pants.
They seemed like ok jackets, a little on the thin side and tend to run a bit small. Otherwise i have no first hand crash experience.

I'm pretty sure a leather jacket from the 70s purchased at Goodwill can last you 3 months. It's weather or not you want to spend the money on a toss out. It depends on the person, but if this jacket is cut the same way as my friend's then it's gonna be real short.
If you just need a 3 month jacket then i'd go for something used off of craigslist.

Shift's initial quality was bad, but lately they have made some real progress in that area.

As for color, I would go with black. Black matches everything.

Yep...I got a super good deal a while back on a 2 piece from motostrano. Some of you may remember my post (use search by creator - look up my name - I did a quick review.)

I ended up returning it because...you guessed it....too small. I even went a size larger than was initially suggested and STILL incredibly tight. If I was a pro-racer, it probably would have fit me perfectly, but I'm not and want something I can kinda walk around public in with out everyone checkin out my package.

Quality wise, everything seemed good to me. Great armor, nice zippers, thick enough leather, neoprene around the neck/wrists if I remember correctly. Back pad was just that - a pad. Worthless - but seems to be a common trend.

dont buy cheap riding apparel, its not worth it. Go with a better brand like Joe Rocket or Alpinestars.

i dont wear shift, but my brother in law did when he went down

he had his back tire clipped by a car going 60+mph and fell off the bike

he walked away with only scratches and bruises

the jacket did its job he didnt get any broken bones the jacket did rub through in some spots.. but otherwise i was very impressed
