it's probably about the same thing. You choose riders for each race and have a max salary for each weekend.

Each weekend?

MotoGP Manager gives you 40 mil (euros) to spend on picking two riders, one team, and one bike for the season. Each race nets you points which equals money. You can use the money towards upgrading your rider/team/bike. Is that how it works on FR?

you can select riders for the full season but you're allowed to change it up with limitations on using riders you haven't used before. Plus you get to select a 125 or 250cc privateer each race there's a 125, 250cc race the same weekend

A couple of us from my college motorsports forum are doing fantasyracer. I'll probably sign up for motogpmanager too when I get home.

What's everyone's fantasyracer teams? I chose Melandri, Pedrosa, and Edwards for round one. I'll tell everyone why I made my choices after race 1

Well that's why he's going for $250K. He's been faster than Capirossi at this point, its just a question of whether he can keep it upright. If he does he's going to get a couple of W's this season.

If paul is doing the fantastracer.com league, he still had a cash balance with those three riders, couldn't someone better have been chosen? Or is it if someone already has the rider you can't use them? Looks like he could have spent ~$450k instead of Stoner

I don't think is any bonus for coming under budget after reading the rules. It's based off points, not cash

I did the same thing like 10 years ago with F1. It was pretty fun and made watching the races a good time.

I got lucky and chose McLaren Merc for my manufacturer the year that Hakkinen dominated.

right now I set Capirossi, Hopper, and Melandri. I'll obviously switch that around a little race to race but for 1 million that's not a bad lineup hoping that Hopper wins this year.
