Default 1981 honda 900c carburettor leak with the engine on only

I got a 1981 Honda 900c and I just clean the carburetor be my self, after I put it everything back was seem to be fine, but when I start up the engine I have a very bed leak from the bottom one of those nipples and if the engine is off stop leaking.HELP

Can you take a picture of the leaking nipple you're referring to?

It sounds like a bad gasket or maybe you put one of the bowl screws in too tight and cracked it. The reason why it stops leaking when you shut the bike off might be because there's no vacuum going to the petcock and no fuel is entering the carbs once the bike is off.

Hi thank you for responding. For some reason the carburetor stop leaking but there is more issue, when I turn on the bike with choke after about 10 sec the engine loses power and turn off. Only if I push the gas does not turn off.

sg isnt runnng well to your carb..

get the service repair manual and strip it again...

also if the carb leaks mabe there is a small dirt at the over flow needle at the bowl.

usally these needls get dry and they cant attach well to stop the over flow

inspect the proper function of the over flowing system. the servive-repair manual will help you how to inspect it
