Default Pilot 05 Replaced tranny oil, now it doesnt want to shift to D3D2D1?help

So I replaced the Transmission oil and afterwards it didnt want to shift to the lower gears. It goes into D and reverse nicely. I was playing around with it and if I wiggle the shifter it goes into the lower gears. What is causing this? I already checked the level of transmission oil and its right on the mark. Is there any problem if i filled it up through the dipstick hole instead of the filler hole??

you should have to pull back on the lever to go into lower gears. did you use atf z1 fluid. a drain and fill usually takes 3.5 qts. i bet that took forever to fill through dipstick tube. next time remove the 17mm fill plug on top the trans

yeah I used the OEM honda trans oil ATF. When I first notice the problem, I was like WTF. I did nothing wrong. I then drained the oil and refilled it through the filler bolt. I had to Air gun it out cause of the tight space its in. So basically I did a tranny flush and the problem still persisted.

I've been reading all morning and it is like you said. Theres a funky way of shifting into the lower gears. It was smoother before though. Oh well, I guess theres nothing wrong. I just thought I had fuked up somehow but I was confused on how since i've done so many oil changes in honda trans.

No pulling back on lever to shift from D to lower gears, just move the lever. See page 161 of your Owner's Manual...https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...505O00158A.pdf
