Homelink Buttons Flaky
2005 Odyssey EX
Each Homelink button in the overhead console worked as expected for several years. Each has since become flaky and intermittent.
Over a decade ago, I programmed all three buttons to actuate our garage door. Over the past few years, each button has begun to fail in the same way. Specifically, when pressed, the light (indicating signal broadcast) doesn't appear, or it comes on sporadically then goes out. We then have to play with the button to find its sweet spot. We've since given up on the Homelink console and use the garage remote instead.
This is NOT a programming issue; this is NOT a signal range issue. This seems to be a mechanical issue.
Anyone experience similar behavior? If so, please share your solution.
