2006 Pilot - ECO Mode not engaging
I've finally got my pilot back on the road after fixing lots of little things. I noticed that ECO mode is not coming on. My sister has the same year 2006 Pilot, and its ECO mode comes on frequently. Anytime you coast or go down hill or let off the throttle, ECO mode seems to light up on her dash. I try to do the same steps when driving my 2006 Pilot, and I can't seem to get the ECO to light up on the dash.
Has anyone experienced this, or know a simple thing to check first?
Currently there are no check engine light codes nor ABS codes.

Re: 2006 Pilot - ECO Mode not engaging
SOLVED: I guess it just worked itself out on its own, or the computer needed to relearn eco mode
This afternoon, I was driving over a hill that had a very rough road due to construction. I don't know if the bumps kicked on the ECO light, or just descending on the back side of the hill triggered the ECO light to come on, but it did briefly. It then no longer came on for the rest of the drive.
This evening I drove to go out to eat. ECO mode light was lit up just like I was expecting, for roughly 30% of the drive. My only guess was that either a bump made it start working again, or the computer had to relearn something after spending six months with a multiple random misfire code and limp home mode engaged. I did reset the computer, and did an idle relearn before I started driving the Pilot. Maybe the transmission learning and ECO mode for the computer takes longer to kick in.
