2001 Honda Odyssey transmission problem
Recently my 2001 Honda Odyssey with about 137k miles on it started to slip or "lag" going from first gear to the second gear. I would be driving the car and when its going to the second gear the Rpm would suddenly go up like it was put in Neutral. So i was wondering if that is any type or sensors or anything, or is it the transmission slipping. Some one told me it was the Transmission pressor solenoid or sensor.

There are host of reasons your tranny may be slipping, and the only sure way is to have it examined by a transmission shop. Bring it to a shop that will deduct the diagnostic fee to the repair bill if you choose to have them repair it.
I've use the same local trans shop near me for the last 26 years for all my transmission service, including my track cars. But even if you use a noted chain place like Aamco, you'll at least get a warranty which is very important on any transmission repair.

2nd and 3rd gear clutches are prob smoked. I just got done building a spare for mine. Swapping it out right now actually. Theres an upgrade that most trans shops dont even know about. Luckily I have a close friend thats an amazing trans guy and owns his own shop. So with his help Ive built another. The upgrade consists of a sprins, piston, and a drill bit.. lol seriously all these trans need are a passage way drilled out to make a HUGE difference. Brand new these trans, right off the lot new, were running consistent 240 degree trans oil temps...ooops honda. No cooler. Add a front mounted cooler, do the upgrade, and rebuild with new clutches, plates, seals, etc etc. Get a new converter also as yours is prob baked. Its what they all do. You wont believe the difference. Its not even like the same vehicle afterwards. good luck!

I would be interested in more information too. My wife's MDX is going in for transmission #3 tomorrow.
