1. Your age
29
2. Your income (high, middle, low)
The most I've ever taken home in a year pre-tax is 78k. The least I've ever taken home in a year is 35k.
3. Your occupation
Software developer and systems architect. I currently work as an independent contractor / sub-contractor.
4. Your Top 3 reasons for purchasing
I own a 2004 Civic Hybrid. Top reasons for purchasing are fuel economy, reliability, and low cost of maintenance.
5. Your opinion on other hybrids (insight, civic, accord, prius)
Insight is totally inpractical for anything except a daily commuter. It's a two seater and I can barely fit a sack of groceries in the trunk. The Accord Hybrid costs too much and doesn't get good enough gas mileage. The Prius is a nice car but doesn't come with a manual transmission.
6. Any other comments you'd like to add
Consumer Reports doesn't know how to drive a hybrid car. They claim they get 38 mpg total on the Civic Hybrid. I have 45k miles on my Civic Hybrid, and I'm averaging 51 mpg during the entire time I've owned it.
