SRS on at hiway speed
2010 with 87,000 miles New to me. Air bags were replaced by a dealer about 6 months ago before we purchased it.
The SRS light comes on at hiway speed 60-70 mph. Stays on until the car is shut off. Once restarted the light will never come back on until you reach hiway speed. Seems you can drive around town and it will never come on. Have not checked for codes yet but will do so in the next couple of days. Any thoughts or ideas on the cause.? Odd it only happens past 60mph??
Thanks for the help.

Re: SRS on at hiway speed
This is a shot in the dark, but I wonder if Honda has a SRS program that will automatically activate airbags at higher speeds upon any collision.... If so, then that could be the issue. Again, this is me just thinking about safety at higher speeds compared to lower speeds.

Re: SRS on at hiway speed
I would get that checked out asap, as the SRS coming on means its malfunctioning. What is probably happening is that once you reached a certain speed, the system does a self check to ensure that a sensor/device is going to work at that given speed and if it is giving feed back to the unit or not. If it is not then error SRS light.
