Spoon calipers
Hi all,
I have test fitted the Spoon brakes on the Fit and I would like to share the information.
Parts required for this conversion :
-Spoon 4 piston caliper (stock single piston)
-AJR custom 282mm (stock 262mm)
-Goodridge SS brakelines (stock rubber hose)
-T1R under rotor spacers (to space out the rotor to have the rotor center to the caliper)
-J's Racing brake pads
-MOTUL 5.1 Brake fluid (I have no idea what stock is )
**Gotta make sure the offset of the wheel if the offset will clear the calipers or not.
From what I can tell if you run these brakes with 15" wheels, you will need offset +45~+35. 16" +45~+38. 17" +45 or lower. All the info also depends on what wheels you will be getting. For my CEs, there are a lot of spacer to fit another finger.
Thanks
Ben

Nice job on the updates, you guys are moving along quite swiftly!
I hope those calipers are the ITR replacement ones, cause I got 3 sets of ITR calipers waiting to be sold, and I have a set of the rotors needed too. 11" Prelude rotors, they need to be redrilled to 4x100 though, just like those in the pics as well.

Re: Spoon calipers (RagingAngel)
Putting a spacer under the rotor is SO NOT the way to go. With the spacer, does the rotor center bore (called the register) center itself on the hub snout? If not you are asking for trouble.
This is the same idea with running hub centric rings on aftermarket wheels that have a larger center bore than the snout on the hub (the wheel register).
Not everyone in the aftermarket follows these engineering designs correctly. Adverse affect such as vibration in the steering wheel and brake pedal vibration can occur.
The proper thing to do if you want to install Spoon calipers on a 4 lug Honda is to machine the caliper bracket to correctly center the caliper over the rotor. If there is anyone in need of this, I can help. PM me. I just hate seeing people do things the "Mickey Mouse" way.

Not entirely related but might give you a better idea:

I seriously dunno why people freak out over running some spacers to clear these brakes though.... Although the spacer UNDER the rotor will have already provided some added clearance to whatever wheel you intend to run.
It's almost always usually enough to clear in this specific and particular case (under rotor hat spacer + Spoon caliper)

Thanks for the other link... I was interested since these are the wheels I'm running on my Fit at the moment off and on and I would like to invest in this conversion...

Re: Spoon calipers
so any word if these are the ITR replacement rotors?
if so then is an adapter needed
I have a set of OEM ITR brakes that can be used for this car if I pick one up
also one of my two sets of spoon wheels
15" 35et and 16" 45et
I love spare parts when they work on the next car
