Splash guard/Skid
Hi All
I took my 2016 Fit LX to Take 5 oil today
When i left I heard a scraping from underneath the car and
when I looked i saw the splash guard was not connected and part
of it was hanging down and rubbing the ground
I took it back and they used a bunch of zip ties to re attach it
but after driving for an hour or so i saw it was scraping the ground again
I'm going to take it back to them tommorow but if it cant be reattached can
I drive the car without it safely?
I do DD and UE so I drive a lot
Thanks

I lost my splash guard on the highway
a couple years back after experiencing a similar situation. If you hear an oscillating scrape at higher speeds I would remove it until you have the parts to reassemble. It literally bent a metal mounting point in the wheel well as it tore itself off. Big mess. Slower, city driving might be better, but you’ll eventually encounter road debris that could get caught underneath the car. Good luck.

Also it seems like whenever I got an oil chabge the skid would eventually drag
It got to the point where i wopuld have them use zip ties to
reattach it
