Replacing Steering Fluid
Hi everyone! I'm new in this forum and a very happy owner of a 2007 Silver Fit (will post pics soon!). In Venezuela is very expensive to service the car with a Honda dealer. I fully followed the maintenance schedule for a whole year. Now, with 43K Km (Yes. We can drive that much in a year since we have the cheapest gas in the world), I decided to service the car myself at least regarding the things that I can actually do by myself.
I replaced cabin filter, engine filter, oil and oil filter, brakes fluid. Fortunately the person who sold me the car at the dealer, started working in a business that sells original Honda parts and accessories.
Well, in order to make my story shorter, one of the things I bought was an original container of steering fluid, but (don't laugh, please) I am not able to find how to fill the steering system/where to pour the fluid.
Until then, my Original Honda Steering Fluid container, will remain original (closed & sealed).
Please, help me! (A picture says much more than a thousand words)
Thanks in advance, Honda-Tech community!

Hey Claymore,
Thanks for the quick reply. Seems to be that I will sell that steering fluid to someone who actually needs it. So, any maintenance for that kind of power steering system??? The best for you my friend. Merry xmas and happy new year from this side of the world !!!!

Nope the power steering unit is sealed and needs no maintenance. One thing I don't see mentioned that you did is transmission fluid. Maybe that should be done also.
And Merry Christmas back at you from the other side of the world.

anyways yea only suggestions other than what you have done is making sure the car is properly aligned and doing a trans flush and coolant flush

Im a tech at Honda and no matter what we reccommend coolant flush every 30k....at 105k doesn't mean it starts to go bad....more likely it means you better have that flushed now! lol

It's not Honda that recommends 30,000-mile coolant flush intervals; rather, it's your particular dealership, in the hopes of selling additional unnecessary services to uninformed customers who don't check the Honda literature.
well, i know 4 other dealerships in the area that I have dealt with that have very similar to exact recommendations and each owned by different owners....majority of people should have the services done....now if we are going to talk about them being overpriced....im down other than that if you wait til the 100+k miles to change any fluid in your car your cheap as hell
