I was interested in getting the jdm 3rd brake lamp but noticed that they come in all clear or all red. I've seen the red ones but I've never seen the clear ones installed. Anyone have the clear version or have a picture I can use for reference? GD3 please.

I have a black honda fit with the jdm smoked/red taillights and I'm just trying to figure out what will look the best. I'm leaning towards the red ones...

I would bet that anything but red for the third brake light would get you a ticket in the U.S.

I assume that the clear ones are actually red reds, just the housing is clear.



Either way, I've never seen a GD3 with them so I'm curious to see how they look.

Yeah, you are probably right about the red LED's behind the clear plastic lens. There used to be a member of fitfreak.net, user name OneStopCustoms who was the vendor for DAI LED thrid brake lights for the GD and GE Fits. Compared to the cheap LED brake lights on eBay and from other fitfreak members, the DAI brand is spectacular in quality. I bought his frist sample piece that he obtained from his Asian source, and in addition to the "FIT" LED letters, I have a dash before and after the LED script and the dashes flash in alternating blue and red when the brakes are on.

This fitfreak member seems to have disappeared, but if you can find the DAI brand of LED thrid brake lights anywhere else, they are really worth their price.

I believe that one is still the red one (not the clear lens version).

Oh well. I just ordered the red version anyways since it FITS my theme.

I don't think I've ever seen the clear on someones before either. I don't think it would matter if your back window is tinted

Anyone know why some JDM Fit 3rd brake lights have 6 LEDs and others have 12?

I have a black vinyl overlay that says FIT. Works for me.

I forget. On Ebay somewhere a couple yrs ago. It was not the greatest. I just changed tot he LED one. Nice
