The Fits are IN!
I just called Honda of Ithaca and they confirmed having Fits on the lot. I'm going at 3 or so to check em out and take some pics.
*Update* Got a picture of it

The dealership got 3. 2 sports: Storm silver (auto) and NightHawk Black (5spd), and a 5spd Lunar mist base model.
I didn't take it on a test drive (I'm only 17
) However I did sit in it, open things, etc. The interior feels expensive for this price level, and everything has a very snug and solid feeling. Doors close like bank vaults with a quiet "thump." The gear shift felt incredibly smooth and precise. The seat fabric was very soft, and there is plenty of legroom. There is a small incline from the rear floor that goes up to the front seats (gastank), but this wasn't really a hinderance. I'll hopefully take a test drive this weekend, I'll be sure to update.
This car is very similar in concept to my 1990 civic wagon, seen above. Both are small yet versatile, have sporty handling and are fun to drive, and are quite economical. The lady showing me the car was interested to see my car, and didn't know such a thing existed. She tried to lure me into buying it (I don't have the money and I'm 17, but whatever) by saying: "Oh yeah, these things are gonna fly off the lots, and we're not gonna get very many, so..." I just told her "I'll be back."

I went with CivicWagonRUS to check out the fits and I must say that though the fit is smaller than I imagined its still a nice car. I would definately rock it, the sport though, the base doesn't have enough flare, but thats not what they were going for so its ok.
supposedly we're(leesburg honda) the first in NoVa to get the Fit. I think its still on the lot somewhere. its a blue sport auto. not bad for the price. i'd def. buy the base model though and save the extra 2 grand for mods. the only difference is the seats and paddle shift (auto trans) drives nice, handles well, paddle shift is kinda fun, manual is still better. i like how the rear seats fold down flat and the front seat still goes all the way back. overall i give it a B simply cause it has no *****. 109 hp?? booo!!!
It's people like you that prevent the US from getting the more fuel efficient cars sold in the US. Sure, diesels and engines like Honda's Dsi may not be as quick, but they are much more fuel efficient. It's that power hungry mentality that those of us who value fuel economy have to pay for by being forced to buy overly powerful cars. THat's not to say I don't enjoy going fast, it's just that I have my motorcycle for that (and it gets around 45 mpg).

Thanks for the offer. We're gonna buy sometime during the fall, but thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated.

Really? Was it one of the ones from the dealership?
I hope they don't sell them all before my I go with my family to test drive one.
