Does anyone know the FIT chassi code?
GD3 would be the closest to what we get here.
And if you want to search for Fit stuff on JDM websites, here it is in Kanji:
フィット
(turn on your Japanese encoding)

wrong.
GD2 is not the base model. Both are GD3.
GD1 = 1.3L FF
GD2 = 1.3L 4WD
GD3 = 1.5L FF
GD4 = 1.5L 4WD
GD5 = 1.2L FF
GD6 = 1.3L FF (seden)
GD7 = 1.3L 4WD (seden)
GD8 = 1.5L FF (seden)
GD9 = 1.5L 4WD (seden)

what is the engine code on the fit? is it one of the new r series that are in the base model civic? or is it something else?

nice, L-series. i just hope Honda keeps it simple and doesn't come up with anything like a 4g63 engine code..
has the jdm market had the l-series for a few years? or is this a new for America engine. i guess i could search for the answers.. but maybe someone already knows.

North America gets the L15A VTEC motor, no i-DSI versions.
Our version of the L15A is equipped with a different intake manifold (cast aluminum instead of plastic) and a drive-by-wire throttle body.

i think the problem with drive by wire is that you step on the gas and a sensor sends tps info to the ecu, and the ecu sends a signal to a servo to open the throttlebody. if you went to an older ecu you could use the old tps sensor and mechanical throttle body cable, but a lot of the sensors might have to be replaced to get the engine to run.
do these engines use a mass air flow sensor or a MAP sensor?
and yeah, i bet drive by wire will suck. doest hasport or someone already have a k20 swapped fit?
