Hello I bought a OBDII scanner to scan codes on vehicles, but it doesn't seem to want to read "Fit" codes and displays "Linking Error" on my mother's 2013 Fit. I don't understand why it doesn't read the codes since it reads codes on a 90's Plymouth Neon and a 2000 Oddy. Is there a special sequence I have to go through on the Fit?

do other code scanners work on it such as the one at a shop or autoparts store that does code reads for free?

 

I just went to O'rilley's and borrowed their Bosh scanner and it worked perfectly..Any ideas why my scanner doesn't work?

 

Its junk....








....or its old and incapable of communicating with CAN cars.
