Honda CR-V 1998
This car runs great but I can't let my wife drive it because when she goes to store and shop when she comes out to go home it will not start it turns over but will not start if she waits for half hour or it then starts
When it starts it has gas fume smell and it kind of starts of slow then it comes up to full idel
When I take it it's usually a hour or more before I'm ready to start it and it starts just fine. I have taken the main relay out and checked for loose solder connections but there are none I think I have a spark problem but I'm not a car mechanic so I don't know how or what to check next

Tell your good lady to rotate the engine BUT keep her foot off the gas pedal until the engine has been turning for a couple of seconds and then slowly press the gas pedal.
