Hello, i am trying to figure out what kind of ball joint press kit set i need for pressing out the old lower front ball joints on my Honda and some new ones inn. I have been googling like crazy but i am struggling with finding enough information about sets that are out there.
A lot of the sets i have found seems to be made for Accord, prelude, CRX and etc but it never seems like they are made to fit the CR-V(At least the CRV is not mentioned on the "Works on model" list) . Does anyone have any experience with buying ball joint press kits and using them on their CR-V? Renting one is not an option so buying one from a international store like Amazon is what i am aiming for.(Also it has to ship to Norway)

Sets i have looked at:

Alltrade at amazon This seems to be a fairly large set and with ok quality but its quite expensive, also i do not know if it will work on the CR-V.
Astro at amazon Fairly large set, decent price, but again i cant figure out if it works with the CR-V.

I have looked at countless others, most claim to work with alot of models from honda, just not the CR-V. I also phoned OTC, they gave me a list of cup serial numbers that should fit, but i cant find those parts in any third party store, and OTC does not ship internationally.

I would be very grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction by either pointing me to a set they have used themselves or to a set they know will fit.

Hi, im not quite sure what you are showing me, is this a set or individual parts you can buy from a retailer,, or is this something that honda mechanics use to press inn and out lower ball joints?

Hi, these are individual parts that Honda mechanics use but those can also be purchased by anybody from Honda. You could need to check with your dealer if they have them in stock or if they would order them for you. These guys ships to Norway: 07965-SB00100 - Genuine Honda Remvr/Intall Ball Jt

Okey, that one looks nice, but are you sure it will fit the CR-V? When i enter my vehicle(1997 honda cr-v) it says it cannot determine if it will fit my vehicle. Actually i can't see where on the site you found tools? I can only find parts for the CR-V.

Hi, I also tried to enter my cr-v model and also my cr-v serial number on the site and it did not recognized it, do not know why. The picture I posted is from the Honda CR-V 1997-2000 service manual so it has to be the good parts. Honda dealer should be able to confirm, then you would be 100% sure.

I will check it out(Honda Dealers usually do don't help too much when it comes to tell you what you need for servicing your own car yourself here in Norway) but i will give it a shot , thanks a lot for the help! I am still also on the lookout for a big lower ball joint set that will work with the CR-V, having a C-Frame and the ability to press other stuff like bushings and etc would be neat. So any tips from anyone on that is still highly appreciated!
