2004 CRV Limpmode P2646
The motor is a Motor is k24
To make the story short,my car was dumping oil very fast and burning it off creating smoke through the hood cracks. I ended up adding a qt of 5w-30 instead of 5w-20 (Dont know if it will hurt anything, just explaining my stupid mistake) On my way home it,goes into limp mode defiently due to low oil. I get the leak fix by the local shop. The said they added 2qts to get the dipstick to read.
New parts: VVTI solenoid and gasket Valve cover gasket New belt Oil change Knock sensor (Did on my own to fix another error code)
The cars oil levels are good now but I am still throwing the code even after deleting it and also resetting the battery.
P2646- VTEC oil pressure switch circuit malfunction is the error code coming up.
The shop told me that I had bad blowby and suggested a replacement motor.
Does anyone else have any ideas on the next path to take to fixing my issue?
