Hey all,

Havent been on for awhile. Finally got the money together to start my 3rd gen build. Starting with the exhaust this week because my cat is shot and it sounds like a 💩 lol. 30mm spacers on order. Getting tires when spacers come in. Going to do a wrap or plasti-dip don't know what colour yet. Anyways I will update with mods as I go. Going to have to experiment with suspension mods as they're not as readily available for 3rd gens.
Heres how she sits now still sitting pretty on snows.

also open to suggestions on things to try in the way of mods! Let me know what you would like to see!

Here's mine. I did this about a year ago, and certain things I've learned. The lift and the all terrain tires with cragar rims is something that puts an astounding amount of strain on the stock drivetrain, suspension components, bushings. Additionally, it absolutely murders your fuel economy. But it looks awesome, and it feels awesome and damn it, it's awesome !

Hi all,
from the UK here, I have a 2nd gen 2.2 diesel.
Question is: has anyone got experience fitting 16” 9j wheels with an ET offset of 20 or around that mark?

Will they fit? I have the 30mm strut spacer lift still to go on.

Not overly clued up ET, I am aware it moves the center of the wheel in or out. But have no idea what a crv should have.

Cheers guys.

Personally I think that 9" will be too wide.
8" with ET25 will put your wheels pretty flush with the wheel arches.
9" with ET20 will push out the wheel an additional 17-18mm

Finally finished for now, couple more things I wanna do.

As far as the lift....Aerogenics 1in lift spacers all around. But the front has the Dobsinson springs.
The bumpers and trim pieces are truck bed liner to give it that textured look.

That’s s sick 2nd gen! What is your tire wheel specs? Any spacers needed? Also, did you use the Herculean Bedliner spray?

They are American Racing Baja AR172. 15x7. General Grabber AT2 225/75/15. With the rims I’m running it’ll need a spacer to clear the brake caliper. I have an inch but going to get a 5mm spacer.

I just used Rust oleum truck bed liner. 7 bucks at Walmart. Took about 6 cans 3 layers each.

I finished my 30mm/40mm (front/rear) lift spacer install today, along with new struts/springs, adjustable rear camber arms, and front camber bolts. Took me an entire Saturday to get the rear stuff done - it was a pain in the ***. It helps immensely if you loosen the bolts for the trailing arm and allow it to hang. Disconnecting the sway bar from the body also helps. I'm going to replace the 40mm rear spacers with the smaller 30mm ones. Already ordered and shipped. The 40mm spacers are just too tall. At full suspension droop, the brake lines stretch too much (i.e. bottom out on a pot hole you're gonna snap a brake line) and the spacer pulls the tire in too far. Because of this, the tire contacts the spring and I'm unable to adjust the camber correctly. I used some spare universal ~5mm wheel spacers temporarily but I'm planning on buying some 1.25 inch bolt on wheel spacers soon. Theoretically, that should give me the appearance of +18 offset and let me adjust the camber to spec.

The front spacers were much easier to install than the rear. Got that all done within a few hours, pretty straight forward. No wheel spacers needed, no brake line issues, the camber bolts seemed to have fixed the camber pretty well. I'm happy about that. I still need to have the car aligned properly but I'll wait until I put the smaller rear spacers on. I eyeballed it the best I could.

Hopefully I'll buy some tires in the near future. Thinking of either 215/75/15 or 225/75/15. I keep debating...

30/40 lift spacers. the rack isn't touching the car.

I put 36mm spacers front and back (30mm + added 6mm) rear was a huge pain. Lots of rusted bolts and adjusters. Front was really easy. Only took an hour for both sides. My alignment in bang on spec, and the rear wheels still seem to have too much negative camber. I think I will re align it to 0 camber and see what that rides like.

Installed some "JDM" fog lights and a few extra auxilliary lights.
The three in the middle are connected to the full beam and the outer ones as extra fog lights..

Installed a little CB radio, mainly for fun.
Also the antenna serves as an indicator for me where the car ends with the bullbar, to help with parking

Hey all...Maybe I missed it but I've read just about all 112 pages at one time or another and I'm wondering what the biggest wheels a gen 2 with 16" wheels can take without a lift or rubbing.

Thanks folks

Okay, heres the situation.....how the hell am i supposed to get the front lift blocks in if i cant compress the springs enough with cheesy rental crap i get at advanced auto!?
What is the alternative? I spent 6 hrs trying to figure this out to no avail. On top of all that my front cv joint became unjointed and i spent another hour trying to figure out how to put it back together. Needless to say i did not get the front lift blocks on my gen 1! Any info? Anybody out there? Is this thing on?😥💩
