would a msd 6A igniton work on a stock 90 civic dx?
got a 6200 series MSD 6A(base unit for all vehicles)
can it be used on my stock 90 civic?
will i have to change out he coil in the distributor or will the stock one work?
would it be worth my time putting it on?
only have a cold air intake.

I wouldn't go out of my way to buy one, but if you have it laying around, go for it. I installed on on my SOHC VTEC (in a 88 DX Hatch) back in the day... and it improved mileage and idle quality, as far as power... couldn't notice a difference. The stock ignition system is pretty damn good on a honda.

You will see easier cold weather starts... But I guess you wouldn't be concerned with that (in CA. that is).

yeah I got one sittin around so I'd figured that it would do some good on the honda.
its seems from what ya'll say that it will help improve gas mileage and idling
i'll try and put in on today
