well if the year are the same then yes then do fit. but thne you're refering to the model with the seat belt on the door and (assuming) your car has the seat belt on the pillar, it wouldn't fit correctly. slight (maybe more) mods need to be don't where the latch is on the body of the car. and no it not just the Si model that have the seat belt mounted on the door. DX do too. it not the model but it the year as to why th eseat belt is on the door..88-early 89 civic/crx have it mounted on th eside pillar. while late 89-91 is on the door. when i say early or late this is what i mean
early= from jan-august
late= from sept-dec.
something like that.

the 88's have pillar mounted, and 89HF are the only ones that lasted past 88 with pillar mounted seat belts.
88 doors CAN fit on the 89-91 chassis since the clearance is available. BUT you wont have seat belts... and ive heard it lines up slightly funky, not 100%.
so REALLY, no mix and matching. door mounted on door mounted chassis, and pillar mounted on pillar mounted chassis only.

this should work because both models have door mounted seat belts.

I just saw a 91 CRX with pillar mount seatbelts, it might be that it’s a Canadian CRX not a US CRX. It might have to do with not just model year and but also which market it was destined for.

yeah, canadians didnt get door mounted CRX either. like the rest of the world.
Honda Canada is separate from American Honda Motors, they order different specs and models sometimes.
and 1988-1994 was an odd era of passenger car safety. airbags were still too expensive and still competing with other ideas of "passive restraint", like automatic shoulder belt.
in fact, the idea of door mounted seat belts on a CRX was that it was SUPPOSED to be ALWAYS buckled in, the driver would slide in between, therefore be "passive". thats why theres a dumb red warning on the hand brake cowl. of course nobody does that.
and it just added a bunch of weight the chassis wasnt designed for, which is why ever 89-91 CRX (in the US) has a loud KLANGing sound at the door jam since the welds break behind the sheet metal.
