temp. gage not working
my temp. gage is not working, (B18c1 in 88crx si)
at first it would fluctuate (i.e. drop dead on acceleration then come back to a correct reading at idle or coasting) but now its just dead.
at the time it went dead I had some rewiring done (VAFC, new B16a ECU w/ knock sensor, secondary 02 sensor disabled) so I'm not sure if this caused the problem?
but it was already messed up beforehand so im wondering if the thermostat is dead?
don't think this would cuz the gage to be dead?
any suggestions?
thanks in advance

Re: temp. gage not working (dumbchild)
Check your connection at the ECT sensor for the gauge. If I'm not mistaken, there are two, one for the ECU and one for the gauge, the gauge one will only have one wire going to it. When you find it, ground the wire, if the gauge goes full hot, then its prob. not a problem with the gauge itself. most likley a bad connection or bad sensor
