The difference between the integra shifters and the EF chassis shifters is the width of the bottom part of the shift lever. The integra shifter is wider, and requires that the factory d series linkage to be widened where the bolt goes through. There are several aftermarket shifters that are narrow and include spacers to put on each side. This makes them compatible with both linkages.

Nope, the other guy got it right. What gives it a shorter throw is that the shaft is longer between the ball and where it mounts to the linkage. The second bend in the dual bends just puts the shift **** closer to the driver for a more comfortable shift. I have the skunk2 dual bend and it's awesome.
