Sh*t kicker hondabox
Hey hey,
I bought a thrashed 88 dx hatch at the end of last year, for just 300 bones.
It came as an auto, but I work at an independent parts store, and was able to source a 5 spd. It is in the parts budget next month.
No rust on the frame, or outer body. but there was mold EVERYWHERE. A lot of white wine vinegar and purple power later, there isn't. I live on a dirt road, with some pretty gnarly dust so it tends to stay dirty.
I also own a bb4 prelude, and am in the process of swapping one of each of the seats. (They are much more bucket like on the prelude.)
the prelude is another story. Came into my life for 80 bucks.
EHhhhhh, I have some 4-2-1 header which I did a dei wrap on, Ntk powerdex, thinking about doing an intake. (any suggestions or thoughts?) Hondata s3000 on a p28 is the month after.
I am just gonna build it as a fun little get to work car. Pretty fast.
Gonna stay D-series, gonna stay NA, gonna not blast with N02.
(at work now, will edit with pics soon)

Ok.
So, things have Changed a bit.
Now I have a 93 Del Sol Si mostly torn apart on my property. And there are 750 gsxr Throttle bodies on their way.
uhhhh, guess it is time for a D16z6 /w ITbs build.
I happen to be fortunate enough to live with a machinist, and we have most of the tools that we will need for fab work.
I went with the 750 instead of any other bike TB because the way that they are individual pieces. Looks like all of the other options I was checking out were paired by the flange.
Which does not make them impossible to work with, but you have to cut them apart to space properly. So, since I am Lazy, figured, buy the ones that will be easier to make truly straight and true runners. All of the research I have done so far indicates I am going to want Approximately 8 inch runners with stacks on the end.
Since we are staying N/A I figure more compression is a good thing. Mugen Head gasket (2 piece), and Eagle high comp pistons. I figure stage 2 crower cam to take advantage of ITBs, and if I still have budget, billet crank.
Also, there are no backseats, carpet, or trim in the trunk area. Dirty little stripper.
I have heard that you can frankenstein the 4wd from a wagovan. Any confirmation?
Got a handful of other goodies too. Adjustable cam gear, Slim fans, Strut bars, and some shiny no name intake I am throwing away.
I am so bad at Pictures. (Not taking them, just posting them.)
But I will try to remember to get some.
Couple questions for the Honda Crowd;
Q:Anyone know where to get a billet oil filter for us? (K&N is out of stock)
A: Billet Oil Filter
Q: Any Oil pan recommendations, and why?
A: ?

You need to modify the way you type and explain things, just get to the point without the fluff.
Can I ask you some questions? Why do you want a billet oil filter? Why do you want to change your oil pan?

Re: Sh*t kicker hondabox
Pan on the engine currently is dented like a teen's face who has yet to discover facewash. Wanted a baffled design, but am not opposed to welding in baffles.
Billet filter is because I am going to be changing the oil often. I am not making a low maintenance vehicle.
I have since figured out the K filter will not fit.
That was pretty succinct.
Also, Not very friendly round here huh?
Quoted the entire post just to tell me to keep it short. Hah.
