Then everyone in florida is a wussy. With 100 degree heat and 90% humidity. Real fun without AC.

Windows down is for sissies!!!
I go ALL air vents...
God does that suck in July...
When it gets to triple digits, then I break down and crack a window....
But the wind noise is so annoying...ruins the Sound Quality....

Agreed, they must be wussies, I don't need it and it gets above 115 here

A/C is a necessity. I will not have a car without it. Anywhere in California, I don't care where, you'll need it eventually in the year.

You are right, out here it is much worse, people die of heat stroke walking from casino to casino every year (yes, they actually die, we had 4 people die this year alone). If I can take it in these circumstances (every summer temps exceed 115 routinely accompanied by thunderstorms and humidity out here) for 30 years driving without A/C, I am sure you can handle a little water vapor and lower temperatures. You say you need A/C because of humidity, I say WUSS.

I cant stand the idiots that say " take out your A/C and you will get rid of so much weight and gain HP". Come on people lets be serious. The A/C at most weighs 20-25 pounds. Is that gonna rob HP???? Also you can take your belt off in the winter and put it back on in the summer. Come on people pull your heads out of your .. and use them. If you are that desperate to gain an extra 1/4 HP than you should not be in this game. There are plenty of ways to gain HP and removing your A/C is not one of them.

Re: (ryan89crx)
thats why i hate the ac systems. they get in the way of everything. its not until u dump the ac and move to a sidemount radiator to where u gain the room u need. plus i just like a clean engine bay.

You say that as if people don't die in the south.
Heatstroke kills so often it doesn't make the news. Not downplaying the issue there... just making a point.
I've visited Las Vegas when it 108-112 degrees. I walked around for about two hours and never even broke a sweat. Whereas here in TX, I can go outside during the summer and be drenched in sweat from just standing around for about 25 minutes.
I can be sure of one thing....you guys that go without A/C are hardcore. I went this past summer without a/c and it was, possibly, one of the worst experiences of my life.

I like a/c but if its a EF/ED whatever and it hasnt been converted to the newer stuff and its broke Id probably uninstall it. If it works Id leave it. As said windows down and sunroof open..or T-Tops down, windows down, Pantera turned up and floor vents open on my car in my avatar.

Re: (MulletManRockStar)
I live in good ole' Alabama...it gets HOT here. I dont care tho a/c is lame . You can roll down a window, or get the lil 12volt oscillating fans that plug into your cigg. lighter. I used one this past summer, worked great
Plus ditching it will clean your bay up alot

Thank you. There is almost no humidity in las vegas becuase its a desert so its dry, where as in florida its humid as hell and you break a sweat instantly (almost).
For all you guys that live in the South where it is humid and and you go without A/C so you can have room for a turbo. Thats hardcore.

Re: (Mach69)
Living in the SE, each summer is dreaded. So if you have humid weather and your a/c works and you still want to ditch it. call me up and i'll come take it off your hands.
I was having multiple problems with my a/c system so that was my reason in ditching it. I guess having an old car has problems where ditching the fancy stuff is the best route but if yours is workin don't lose it for cleanliness or weight redux if it's your only car.
Your ***** will thank you come summer time.
I once pulled into a truck stop during a trip just to take a crappy shower to clean the sweat off of me, only to get sweaty 10 min later.
