REAL directions to install a GSR Cluster in your EF!!!!
well i'm not sure if anyone actually tried the instructions found at http://www.angelfire.com/dc/oregonimport/gsr1.html
but it my opinion they are complete crap, but thats just from my experience so i'm not bashing on anyone's knowledge or information but here is what i found out, and it works.......
every wire will match up by color except...
(GSR)blue/red to (CRX)red/blue
(GSR)green to (CRX)green/black
and to hook up electronic VSS...
blue/white to orange
black/yellow to yellow
black is the ground.
This is for 94+ GSR clusters, i'm not sure about other years.the only thing i couldn't get to work properly was my fuel gauge.
so don't be afraid this swap is actually easy as hell if you have the connector plugs, it took me about 4 hours of frustration to figure out how simple it really was.

What about the signal from the ecu and did you get the seat belt to work? As for the fuel gauge follow this instruction from Blow'N'Crx. That dude you got the instructions from switched the seat belt and fuel gauge wires around, not to mentioned had other stuff wrong or missing also.
You get the vss out of y1 trannys, at least thats were i got mine.
here is all the wiring i used to do mine...

Re: REAL directions to install a GSR Cluster in your EF!!!! (CrxSi10)
it depends on the year of the car but.. it is either a red/blue wire to a yellow/white wire.. for fuel or white/yellow to white/yellow...
again it depends on the year 88-89 or 90-91.. and dont go bashing my website.. its just a guide not a perfect match..
it even says use this at your own risk.. its a guide.. And all the wires worked perfect on my car that is a 91 crx si.
EDIT! Not to mention you are using the wrong damn address.. its http://www.angelfire.com/dc/oregonimport/gsr.html there is no 1... check that link I just posted.. Now stop bashing

ooh finaly got ya ghettocrxsi, i'm gonna semi-bash on you, your site is all wrong, dude i had that thing and it didn't work for ****, (hopefully you will fix it with the one that the dude posted on this thread, i found that one and worked like a charm.) so please stop sending people to that site, because it's not correct, and just to add to this thread
the 94+ integra clusters do not just bolt right up, you must shave off both(sometimes just one, if you are clever, i'm not :hammer and then take out all the things that hold the old gauge cluster in(little metal brackets) and then you place it in there and there is a screw hole in the gsr gauge cluster and you put a screw threw your little viewing area (the place that the cluster sits in) if you look closely in hte pictures posted above you can see the screw.
oh and please don't take to much offense ghettocrxsi, it's all good

Im not offended at all.. it works for me and everyone of my friends and people who email me.. you have to make sure and look at the page http://www.angelfire.com/dc/oregonimport/gsr.html not gsr1/html...
any ways if u read the directions on my site it tells you that u need to remove your old guage cluster mounts.
The metal tabs and also have to shave the ears off and put the screw in. Just like in the pics..
I will be simplifiing the wiring alot so people can plug and play basically..
But I have school and work and my turbo motor I am building .. so that leaves little time for the site..

Re: REAL directions to install a GSR Cluster in your EF!!!! (22lbGS-R)
any draw backs to doing this? does everything work correctly? i'm really considering doing this, but i want to make sure it will work 100% first.
my car is already obd1, don't think that makes a difference. i know i have to run an electronic speed sensor, and that's not a problem. i have a few laying around. does the electric vss fit into the cable tranny correctly?
