Question about rear seat interior quarter panels.
For the model years 1988-1991 is there anything, other than color, about the hatchback interior trim panels on either side of the rear seat that changed? I am looking at a set of them from a 1989 and wondering if they will work in my 1990. I know they changed the seat belts between those years and that affected the B pillar trim but I'm not sure what else in that area might be affected. I checked the part numbers and the part numbers did change between 1989 and 1990 but sometimes it seems like they change even when I don't think the part actually changed.

Re: Question about rear seat interior quarter panels.
There is a difference indeed.
When you're looking at USA part numbers, the 88's had pillar mounted seat belts. 89-91 had door mounted seat belts.
Everywhere else in the world had pillar mounted seat belts.
There is a slight gap between the B pillar plastics and the quarter panel plastics where the belt passes through.
The gap wouldn't be present on door mounted belt cars. I don't know this for fact, but that's what makes sense to me based on the facts I know.
