Possible to ID EX knuckles?
If the knuckles are removed from the car and do not have the calipers or rotors, is it possible to ID them to verify that they are EX. I have a line on some that are for sale, but want to make sure before laying down the cash.
As a side question, is it possible to check the condition of the bearings prior to installing the whole thing?

Yeah I'm searching for this information right now too. I need to know since I may be able to find some before my car is finished.

Yes, it has been covered but I don't remember who or when. The raised 3 letter marks on the forging are different between EX and Si/DX.

Re: Possible to ID EX knuckles? (NCchris)
Thanks for the link!!! That was exactly what I was looking for.
The answer (as posted in the link) is that the left side knuckle has the number "LH3-A" cast in the arm that goes upward to the upper ball joint. The right side knuckle has "RH3-A" cast in it.
And thanks again. Wes

If you are asking me if I found a car, the answer is yes. I got an white 89 Civic SI hatchback that is in good condition. I paid 1800 for it in Santa Barbara. The B18C is all in and hooked up. All that is left to getting it back running is the wiring conversion to OBD1. Although the wiring is "progressing", it's a REAL pain.

Wes, nice to hear. I bought a 91 Si hatch with a blown B18C. It will be up and running in two weeks. Send me pics when you get a chance, please.

Thanks!
I intend to keep it real simple (with no java or pop-ups) and just add data as I build the car. Pages will be easy to print and not have a lot of color.
A couple years ago, I did much the same in regards to a Chevelle that I built. It ended up being massive. If you want to see how it can lead a life of it's own and overpower you, go here (and I know that a lot of people on this board can't relate to Chevelles);
