Picked up a set of Recaros from the junkyard
Was just browsing for something useful to show up in the junkyard. I spotted a Jetta GLi, and after owning a GLi myself, I knew it was equipped with factory Recaro seats (These have huge bolsters). I quickly removed the seats, and took them to the counter where I paid $22 for a pair of Recaro seats! The power seat rails on these alone go for $100
They match the interior perfectly. Gray with black bolsters combined with black interior with gray trim panels. My friend is gonna weld me a set of brackets to get them to fit. The headrest barely clear the roof. Then I will probably throw out my Si seats with *no rips* just kidding
What do you guys think like them or hate them?
Drivers side has a tear in it that im going to need to get a vinyl patch kit for. Other than that the bolsters are firm as hell.
Yes, they fit like a glove

$22 + $15 for cold rolled mild steel stock, think it was 1/4 inch thick. The penetration we got is real good, these brackets are not going to break.
Also to Honda for making these brackets so complicated. Makes accurate measurement of centerlines, angles offsets etc very key. The bolt holes on the front are staggered, and the back two have different heights.
