Re: Picked up an EE RT4WD Wagon This Weekend
I may be interested, IF the wheel is intace(meaning, that the rubber is still stiff and attached to the frame loop inside). It'd have to be a really clean minty wheel. PM me if it is.
Don't be. Be happy for me instead. My buddy came over and said something along the lines of "damn, you clean the **** outta your cars! I wish mine looked this clean" and I told him that what you see was already there all along, the same goes for his car. You just gotta bring it out. "I'm so jealous!" he said and I told him to be happy for me...."I AM HAPPY, but what are the odds of you finding a wagon with all the options I been hunting for years!?" I laughed!
In all honesty, I originally fell in love with his bronze ee wagon and I wanted to buy it from him(came very close to doing so)but things didn't work out. So I simply stuck to my purpose of finding a nice wagon like his or one better. Things worked out pretty well
Oh, I found that 91 CRX Si brake calipers are the same as the EE wagon calipers, so that's gonna help me bigtime. I am still having problems finding rear drums and shoes though.

I recently had to replace my rear shoes, and i ordered a set off of an 86-89 Integra. That might help

Though clearly they came with drums here, seeing that I'm currently running the shoes off of them.

Black Magic Engine Cleaner/Shine
For some of the more tougher stained areas under the hood I had to use concentrated Simple Greene and literally SCRUB the **** out of it.
For the valve cover, I gently cleaned it with Black Magic Engine Cleaner/Shine and let it dry in the sun after rinsing it off. Once it dries it will look like a dull dry black. To give it that moistened look again I put a light coat of PB Blaster over it. Let it soak over night then dab off the excess(DO NOT WIPE OFF THE EXCESS). If you wipe it off you risk leaving run marks on the valve cover and looks bad.
For the hoses, it's really hit or miss. I would use the Black Magic Engine Cleaner/Shine but when it wouldn't do the trick, I would have to use a shop towel with a light coat of WD40. That stuff serves as a great cleaner on rubber and plastic, especially if it's deep stained with oil or rust.
DCRB, I will check out Napaonline.com and see if they got what I need. If they don't I may have to go through the dealer.

Re: Picked up an EE RT4WD Wagon This Weekend
Another update:
I got around to ordering some brake parts for the car. I haven't taken apart the rear assemblies yet but maybe some of you can tell me whether or not these drums are the right ones. They are pretty damn big for honda drums. I also got new calipers, rotors, pads, lines and a camber kit. Have a look-see!
Kitty - "DO WANT! NOMNOM!"
Fresh Calipers/Camber Kit
Rear Drums - Are they the right ones?
Right now I am just putting the hardware on the calipers and lubing them up for tomorrow. It's insanely HOT outside right now here in Houston. The damn humidity doesn't help either.

Re: Picked up an EE RT4WD Wagon This Weekend
Ok, time for another update.
Finally bit the bullet and bought another camera(my old one was lost for the longest time..hence no updates). My brother and I went out and snapped a few pics at the local grocery store.
Since the last time I posted I was in the process of adding a bunch of stuff to the car so here is a list of what has been done thus far since then.
1. Swapped over my CRX Suspension(Tokico Whites, HR Race Springs, Strut Tower Bars, ST Rear Sway Bar, Lower rear tie bar, camber kit for the rear)
2. Modified DC Sports exhaust.
3. Bass Tube Install.
4. Yakima Bike Rack Install
5. 87 Accord Lip
6. Civic Hood Mask(Bra - anything to take the attention away from the hail damage!)
7. 15 Inch Honda Civic Jordan Wheels/Falken Azenis 205-50-15
8. Complete Drain n Fill on both 4wd tranny and rear differential(Pennzoil Synchromesh for the main tranny, GL5 SAE 90 for the rear). When I drained the rear the gear oil was NASTY!! It stunk FOUL!
9. Greased all U-Joints thoroughly, tightened all nuts n bolts securely on the driveshaft.
10. Oiled/greased all OEM bushings.
11. Replaced lower ball joints in the front, and replaced passenger side CV axle.
12. Replaced both outer tie rods.
13. Recharged R12 AC system(Freeze 12)...SUPER COLD!
14. Reinforced the rear speaker pods even more...now no more shaking!
Front lip installed! Check the Jordans
Rear exhaust/Rear Sway Bar
Bike Rack with our bikes
I think that the HR Race Springs drop the car perfectly. Whereas on the CRX the rear was lower than the front, everything panned our great on the wagon..the front being lower than the rear with just enough gap in the back for more passengers. I have yet to bottom out with this combo.
(i have some bandaids covering the little rust spot near the light )
Small sub in the back for a little bump...yes it's Fusion...i know they suck but hey it was a gift.
Pikachu and Pac Man along for the ride!
I am still working on getting a rear lip and some visors for the windows but no luck yet.
Also planning on getting a new windshield...mine is starting to crack!

84-87 Accord Lip(I think).
Had to cut it and line it up with self tap screws to make it work but I think it lines up fine.

You have to mount the bar to the back of the brackets instead of the front. Also, the brackets that mount to the struts need to attach on the back side instead of the front. The bar passes very close to the rear crossmember, so it might interfere with the 4x4 rear end. (I don't know)
WARNING: If you jack up the car so that the rear suspension is allowed to fully extend on both sides, BE CAREFUL when you let the car back down again. Instead of the bar folding upright into position, it might fold downwards and could dig into the ground (not good). I almost let this happen. I have to let the tires touch the ground and then push the bar up before I let the car all the way down. I'm wondering how I can strap up the rear suspension so it can't extend as far...
Another possible problem is that the endlinks are somewhat angled. They could be at much more of an angle before the heim joints bind up, so I'm not too worried.
no more body roll, FTW! I haven't autocrossed it yet, but it feels like oversteer might be a problem.
the Blox bushings aren't the best... looks like they are oem size, so I'm going to try replacing them at some point

I took it to a local mom n pop shop to have it converted to R134A but when I got there the owner looked at my stuff and said that the car is still running R12 and that it has never been tampered with. So, he added a little more oil and charged it up with Freeze12 refrigerant(R12 compatible)and the car is ICE COLD. Even in mid day when the sun is at it's hottest and with no tint the car is very cold.
I bought a few more cans of R12 for later too
