Re: Oregon CRX Build Thread
Stripped some more interior today. All I have left to do is remove the sound deadening material and clean it up some more. It's already vacuumed, but there's some 22 year old dust caked on to some of the parts in the panels.

If you want to piece it all together, here's a full look at my car under the hood. Let me know if you have any questions.

First post
#1 Resistor box plug or engine harness
#2,3 Engine Harness
#4 Fan Switch
#6 transmission ground
#7 A/C Relays
End of first post and beginning of second is jumper harness
Second set
#3 Main Relay
#4 Correct (seat belt light)
#7 Hatch side panel light
Third Post
#1 Brake booster vacuum to intake manifold
#2 Fuel Pressure regulator return line
#4 is ok I would smooth it out and paint front motor mount
#5 ok
Fourth Post
#1 Shift Linkage
#2 CLutch cable
#3 Throttle Cable
#4 Fuel filter
#5 Wiper Motor
#6 A/C Condensor
Not sure what your asking about for the rear though.
Good start and Bump for the NW

Re: Oregon CRX Build Thread
k i'm going to give this a shot for ya
post number one:
#1 - drivers side engine harness plug, has the wiring for the iacv, injectetors (just two since your car came factory dpfi) and a couple other sensors
#2 and 3 - both are the passenger side engine harness plugs
#4 is your radiator fan plug
#5 those look like the high beam wires
#6 that ground goes from the frame rail to your transmission
#7 those are the ac compressor and fan relays
#8 is the vacuum purge solenoid for part of the evap system. the diagram for it should be under your hood
#9 that is the plug that the previous owner added for the dpfi-mpfi swap. honestly, i would suggest re doing the mpfi swap from scratch to make sure its done right, and so you know which wire goes where
#10 that is your map sensor plug
#11 this is one of three ecu plugs to run your car
post number 2
#1 these are the other two plugs for the ecu
#2 these are loose wires that are left over from the dpfi to mpfi swap. the two groups of three wires bundled together are for the conversion. again, i strongly suggest re doing it, that job looks super sketch. here's a great write up: http://hondaswap.com/swap-articles/d...writeup-49557/
#3 that is your main relay, controls the fuel pump among other things
#4 yes that goes to the seat belt plug harness
#5 and 6 no idea what this goes to may have been left over from a previous project
#7 that is your trunk light
post number 3
#1 this is the vacuum line that goes to the brake booster to give it the vacuum assist, it hooks up to a large vacuum nipple on the back of your intake manifold, you'll see.
#2 this is the fuel return line, hooks up to your fuel pressure regulator
#3 no idea what that is, post up more pix from another angle?
#4 that mounting bracket has to be removed for a b swap, so the header fits right. you'll need to replace the front cross member or use solid mounts if you go back to d series
#5 no not a problem
post number 4
#1 yes that is your shift linkage, it is a modified b series linkage, will not work a d series trans if you opt for a d series motor
#2 that is your clutch cable
#3 that is your throttle cable
#4 that is your fuel filter assembly, you're missing the line that goes from the filter to the fuel rail
#5 that is your wiper motor and main fuse box
#6 those go to the condensor i think its called, your car came with ac from the factory, but it has since been removed
#7 that hole is where your speedometer cable goes through
post number 5
#1 that is the wiring that goes to your tail lights and rear defogger. i think the cut wires go to your passenger rear speaker
#2 that cover is there so the brake/fuel lines don't get damaged
#3 the brass looking pipe is your filler tube to the gas tank. the plastic cover covers up your fuel lines to prevent damage to them.
#4 that's the top hat (or upper spring perch) that your shock absorber also bolts to.
hope that helps

Re: Oregon CRX Build Thread
Also the driver side plastic window trim/ panel you are missing is called a "window garnish" and I have BOTH driver and passenger garnishes in my garage. I'm up in PDX area and if you want one or both, PM me and we can work it out. I replaced mine on my restore and there is a dealership in the Dalles, OR (Griffin Honda) that has AAAAALLLLLLLLL that CRX stuff new just chillin. I replaced every exterior trim peice on my CRX and they combine shipped me for like $12 but then again I bought $300 in new trim pieces lol! I am about done with my CRX and have a good amount of extras that I am not using. PM me if you need something or have a question.

Re: Oregon CRX Build Thread
OH and that metal thingy going across the back is just a cover for the rear brake line going to the driver rear. Fuel lines are all the ones on the driver side, brake lines are all the ones on the passenger side.

I'm sure you have a lot of sources I don't know about by this point in your restore. I'm blazing trails you've already blazed. Haha.
