Old head bolts longer than head bolts in new cylinder head. Which ones should I use?
It's a d16b2 block with y7 head. I also noticed that the head bolts for the old head are longer than the ones in the y7 head. Which ones should I use? I dont want to break a head bolt. TIA.

it isnt rocket science if the old bolts work use them if u feel like they are to short use the long bolts as long as there is no interference

Well, I was torqueing down the shorter ones, when I hear a loud "SNAP" I freaked out, and removed the bolt, but nothing was broken. maybe I should use the longer ones?

I wish it was that simple. a piece of metal came out with the bolt when i pull it out. perhaps they were too short and stripped a piece of thread on the way out?
