obd 1 conversion question
my freind wrecked his 92 hatch istripped it of all his sensors and wiring harness including the ecu do i need anything else to do the conversion
well the harness for the p28 ecu which is a sohc vtec obd-1 i just converted my obd-0 crx to obd 1 and we had to change almost every single plug on the harness to plug into the obd-1 motor. So in my opinion easiest thing to do would be use all the obd-1 sensors from the 92 and plug in your harness but im asuming your zc is non vtec and the p28 is a vtec ecu so i dont know how it would run.
i have all the sensors from the sohc vtec, including injectors frome my freinds totaled hatch and i dont care if it runs rich for a while i'm planning on dropping a sir 2 motor in in january but do i need anything else or wire anything special?
well then swap all the sensors and injectors if your using the obd 1 injectors you dont have to worry about the injector resistor box from the obd 0 you also have to use a obd 1 dizzy which requires some modification. personally i would just wait till you have the new motor and convert to obd when you do the swap there will be no advatage to doing it now and it will be alot of unneeded labor. if you wait to do it when you get the motor you can just plug it in. Also do you have the entire harness or just the engine part, if you only have the engine harness youll need to either get a conversion harness for the ecu side or rewire all the plugs which i wouldnt recomend.

If you have everything and really want to do it you can go ahead im just saying it wont help now and you can just do it when you do the swap and it will be easier. If you have any more questions feel free to post them.
Nobody mentioned the 4 wire o2 sensor.
I'd wait until jan when the swap is to go obd 1. my 2 cents

why? obd o plugs plug into obd 1 sensors. The exception is the dizzy.

The four wire o2 depends on which motor. I dont know which it is for his project. The swap we performed was the JDM d15b and we were able to retain the 1 wire o2 as we use the correct P08 ecu. And as far as the harness goes i dont know if its different for the JDM motors or maybe we just did alot of pointless wiring lol.

o2 depends on which ecu is used. Since he has a p28, a 4 wire o2 will be needed.
