o2 cat. convertor problem for 99-00 Si

o2 cat. convertor problem for 99-00 Si
if i unplug the o2 sensor to the cat. convertor. and it throws a check engine light. is that a big problem or not a thing at all? vtech comes on anyways and all that.

holy ****, it's VTEC not vtech. please don't make that mistake again.
also, this is the EF forum, for 88-91 Civics and CRX's. Try the EG+ forum for your problem.
to answer your question though, yes it's bad to unplug your o2 sensor. your ECU doesn't like it, obviously that's why the CEL is on. just keep it plugged in.

yeah. what if you running a straight pipe then and it dont have no cat. convertor. did i mention that in the earlier post.

Well, you should get a high flow cat rather than a test pipe. I like breathing clean air
To answer your question, you should be able to find a muffler shop or a welder that can weld an 02 sensor bung into the pipe.
