Default NON CRX SEATS IN 91 CRX?

I've been looking for a clean set of 91 CRX SI seats to put in my car but i have failed to find them, so i starting thinking of alternatives, suchs as leather GSRS, Stock type R seats, or even recaros, but what i need to know is, what rails do i use, like if i were to get myself a pair of '00 Type R seats, what rails do i use? do the seats bolt up to all holes in seat pan and sit correctly ? i really need seats soon guys so if this has been asked already or is already a thread somewhere, then a mod can go ahead and lock or delete it, but i do need this answered,

thanks
Sam

don't do it, nothing else but the stock seats feel right with the low crx roof.

I have integra seats in mine. They feel comfortable and don't look out of proportion. As far as comfort, they feel "right". But i've never sat in a CRX with stock seats, so i wouldn't know what it feels like.

As for your question about bolt fitment. I had 3 of the 4 mounting points line up. The fourth was "made to fit".

that's true, del sol seats tend to fit ok, and s2000 seats will probably work, because both of those cars also have very low seating positions. but anything from an integra, civic hatch, prelude, etc just feels too high.

Soungs good but, the stock ones i want are hard to find, if their mint they want and arm and a leg, if their not mint, their garbage, and if i see any for good prices online or something, the shipping would kill me, or seller wont wanna ship. thats why i considered other options, i really liked how recaros looked in a crx, and ive seen it done many times before, but what rails would i use? i hear the vision low seating ones are pretty good.

eg seats feel like your on a stool in ef's. my friend has some and they sit a lot higher than stock. its like driving a bus..

most seat companys make rails to fit the ef.

how high or low they will be is kinda a tossup.

as for gsr seats or any other oem honda seats, you might have to do a seat pan swap to get them to fit. and dont forget about seatbelts.. the ef's seatbelts are mounted to the seat itself, and not to the frame..

I have rsx seats in my rex. The front inside bolt lined right up. and i made a plate for the front outside bolt. I cut the mounts of the rear of the seat and bolted the rails down.

They do sit a tad high for some folks, but, me being 6'0, they sit fine.....and alot better than the 15 year old ones that were there.

Wicked deal hatterr

I have GSR cloth seats in my rex, they do sit a little higher then the crx seats and at first it made me uncomfortable cause my head's always hair's always slightly touching the roof... but you get used to it fairly quickly...

I used stock CRX rails, only one bolt on each rail lined up and the rest was welded on... they have worked perfectly for 2 years now though

Good luck!

Don't give me any **** about the sterring wheel, it has since been replaced. Also, I modified the rear bracket and it sits lower inthe back now, there pics are roughly 6 or more weks old.

( I don't want to hear it about the bodykit either, it was on the car when i got it....lol)

The seat pan swap is the best deal. What I did with my Hatch was collect some beat up CRX Si seats, had them totally reupholstered (padding was thickened a little and new cloth all the way around) and fitted to my 88 Hatch seat pans and rails. Looks real sharp, like the Hatch Si seats in all charcoal grey cloth with no emblems. The cool thing is, the seatbelts are on the pillar and the floor, so I didn't have to worry about swapping those either, but that might be a Hatch advantage, I don't know.

I got some quotes to repair my old sats, and it was cheaper to simply purchase the RSX ones. A user on another honda forum i visit had them for sale and i could'nt pass them up.

The seatbelt bolt is the same and in the same place on the rsx seat as it is the crx seat...

The way I had mine done was a favor for a favor. I know that if I did it again with a different vendor, it would be about $200 per seat. I used some high strength foam and fabric, so they only look like the Si seats vaguely. The rails and pan are original 88 items. Hopefully when I buy the CRX I want, I can move the seats over and not have to worry about it.
